Image Sitemap
Sitemap markup that lists the images on each page so search engines can discover and index them.
An image sitemap uses extra <image:image> tags within a standard sitemap to list the images that appear on each page. It helps search engines discover images they might otherwise miss — for example those loaded with JavaScript or served from a separate CDN host.
This matters for sites where images drive traffic: e-commerce catalogs, stock libraries, recipe and travel sites. Surfacing them in Google Images can be a meaningful channel, and an image sitemap gives crawlers a direct list rather than relying on in-page discovery.
You can add image tags to your existing sitemap rather than maintaining a separate file. Only list images you can crawl and that belong to the page; do not include decorative or tracking pixels. Indexly can include image entries when a site's plan enables image crawling.
