Orphan Page
A page with no internal links pointing to it, making it hard for crawlers and users to discover.
An orphan page is a page that no other page on the site links to. Because crawlers discover most content by following internal links, an orphan is effectively invisible to them unless it appears in a sitemap or an external link points to it.
Orphans commonly appear after site migrations, when old landing pages lose their navigation links, or when programmatically generated pages are never linked from anywhere. Even if such a page is valuable, it will be crawled rarely and may struggle to get indexed or rank.
The best fix is internal linking — connect the page to relevant sections of the site so both users and crawlers can reach it. Listing it in your sitemap helps discovery, but a sitemap is not a substitute for real internal links, which also pass ranking signals.
